Author Agreement  (Word

  1. Copyright

Authors publishing manuscripts in this journal agree to the following:

  1. Authors reserve the copyright to the work and grant the journal the right to first publish the work under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License, which allows others to distribute this work with the obligatory preservation of references to the authors of the original work and the original publication in this journal.
  2. The authors reserve the right to conclude separate arrangements regarding the non-exclusive distribution of the manuscript version published here (for example, posting it in the institute’s repository, publication in a book), regarding its original publication in this journal.
  3. Authors have the right to post their work on the Internet (for example, in the institute’s repository or personal website) before and during the process of reviewing it with this journal, as this can lead to a productive discussion and more references to this work.

      2. Authorship

2.1. The ICMJE recommends that authorship be based on the following 4 criteria:

  • Substantial contributions to the conception or design of the work; or the acquisition, analysis, or interpretation of data for the work; AND
  • Drafting the work or revising it critically for important intellectual content; AND
  • Final approval of the version to be published; AND
  • Agreement to be accountable for all aspects of the work in ensuring that questions related to the accuracy or integrity of any part of the work are appropriately investigated and resolved.

All of these conditions must be met.

Each author should be able to identify which co-authors are responsible for other specific parts of the work. In addition, authors should have confidence in the integrity of the contributions of their co-authors. All authors included in a paper must fulfil the criteria of authorship. Conversely, we also ask for assurance that there is no one else fulfilling the criteria who has been excluded as an author. Persons who do not meet all four criteria should be mentioned in the Acknowledgment section.

The journal follows the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors' (ICMJE ) recommendation that contributors who do not meet all the criteria for authorship should not be listed as authors but should be acknowledged https://www.icmje.org/recommendations/browse/roles-and-responsibilities/defining-the-role-of-authors-and-contributors.html.

Acknowledgments in the article may be given to specific individuals and must include their full name, position, affiliation and a description of their contributions.

The Eurasian Journal of Life Sciences requires the corresponding author to obtain written permission from all acknowledged individuals and provide it to the Editorial office.

2.2 When authors submit any type of manuscript, they are required to disclose any financial and personal relationships that have influenced or could affect their work.

Each author must be familiar with and agree in advance with the list and order of the authorship of the manuscript before sending it to the journal. The authors and ALL co-authors of the submitted manuscript should sign “Author Agreement of the Eurasian Journal of Life Sciences which contains forms for copyright assignment, financial disclosures and authorship. All authors of the manuscript should indicate their contribution to the work on the manuscript and the presence or absence of a conflict of interest.

In case the authors want to make changes to the list of authors after it has been sent to the editor, according to the direction on ethics of scientific publications (COPE), It is necessary to provide the editor with a written justification for making changes to the author's team, with a detailed statement of the contribution of the added and/or deleted authors to the work on the manuscript, which must be signed by ALL the authors of this manuscript. If there are disagreements between the authors, consideration of the manuscript stops before an agreed decision within the group of authors. In cases where an article has already been published any requests for change of authorship approved by the editors lead to the publication of corrections. The editors reserve the right to demand additional documents confirming the legality of the changes in authorship.

2.3.  By submitting a manuscript to the Eurasian Journal of Life Sciences, authors certify that all submitted material, including text, figures, tables, raw data, and other accompanying files, is their original work, has been prepared independently, and is not simultaneously under review or submission to other journals.

The editorial team checks all incoming materials with the help of the Russian text plagiarism detection system "Antiplagiat" (https://www.antiplagiat.ru ). Since November 2024, this system has a module "Duplicate Detector", which records cases when an identical or very similar document was previously checked by the system in another organization. In such a case, the mark "checked in another organization" appears in the report (https://antiplagiat.ru/detector-faq/).

The Editorial Office takes into account that the manuscript submitted by the authors may have been previously reviewed by another journal and not accepted for consideration for various reasons. In such cases, the authors are obliged to attach to the manuscript information about the fact of rejection, preferably in the form of an official letter from the Editorial Office of the corresponding journal. In the absence of such information, the Editorial Office has the right to request a written explanation. Failure to provide such an explanation may result in rejection of the manuscript without further consideration.  The Editorial Office considers simultaneous submission and duplication of publications unacceptable.

When reviewing a manuscript, the editorial team will check ALL text materials in using the Anti-Plagiarism System for illegal borrowings, incorrect borrowings, unfair self-citations, lack of necessary self-citations, signs of borrowings masking (including rewriting and attempts to circumvent the system), signs of generated text, translated borrowings (including machine and free translation). The check is performed by certified experts who have undergone advanced training in the use of the anti-plagiarism system.

For all illustrative materials (graphics, images, diagrams), the editorial team performs manual checks to detect illegal borrowing, incorrect borrowing, unfair self-citations, lack of required self-citations, and signs of image manipulation.

If violations of publication ethics are found, the Editorial Board acts in accordance with the rules of the Committee on Publication Ethics  (COPE).

Individual surnames of authors mentioned in the text must be preceded by initials (the names of foreign authors are given in the original transcription).

The bibliography for the original article is limited to 20-50 sources, for the review 30 – 150, for a mini-review - 12-30, for the Letter to Editor – 3-7.

Only a hyphen (not a dash) is used in the DOI body.

Arbitrary abbreviations of journal titles are not permitted. You can check the official abbreviated journal title at https://portal.issn.org/; abbreviating journal titles is not recommended unless specifically provided by the journal.

All sources are cited in English. All data is provided as in the original source (see the journal website). At the end of the bibliographic description, include a reference to the original language of the publication (in Russian).

When referencing articles from Russian journals that have a translated version, provide a link to the translated version of the article. All references to journal publications must include, if available, a DOI (a unique digital identifier for the article in the Cross Ref system), PMID (an identification number assigned to each publication in the PubMed database), and EDN (eLIBRARY Document Number - an identifier in the Russian Science Citation Index (RSCI) database). These are indicated after the article's title.

You can check the availability of an article's DOI on the website https://search.crossref.org. Please ensure the DOI is formatted correctly: 10.1007/s12072-017-9798-x. Only hyphens (not dashes) are used in the DOI body.

You can check the availability of a PMID on the website https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov.
